SENIORs: New Recruits 2017 Announcement

Greetings!

It is a pleasure for my team and I to serve you and those under your care this year in BB08PJ's Recruit program. This program is designed to introduce newcomers to The Boys' Brigade and to transition members from the Junior section to the Senior section. It will run from the beginning of the year until the recruits are promoted to the rank of private on Enrollment and Awards Day at the end of July. During this time, I will be your main point of contact and should you have any queries, you may direct them to myself or Warrant Officer Samuel Low at "bb8pjsenior@gmail.com." I will also try my best to keep you updated monthly via email with the activities we have planned for the recruits. The recruit program core team is committed to ensuring that every member who signs up will wear their uniform with pride as they receive their Target Award at the end of the program which is a mark of the rank of 'private'. To achieve this, we humbly request the support of you, their parents/guardians, in encouraging them to actively participate in all activities and maintain a high attendance record as their progress is dependent on it. A calendar will be released very soon so that major events such as camps and test dates will be made known to you. The details of the first parade(weekly meeting) for recruits are given below:

Date: 7th January 2017

Time: 1pm-6.30pm (registration starts at 1pm, parade begins at 2pm)

Location: Pantai Baptist Church Lot 8 cafeteria senior section registration counter

Attire: White t-shirt, dark coloured track bottoms (blue or black), sport shoes

It is not necessary for parents/guardians of recruits to be present for the first parade however a parents/guardians' briefing will be held during the 2nd parade of the year (14th Jan 2017) 2.45pm - 3.15pm. Your attendance is strongly recommended as important information will be presented such as important dates, expectations of the recruits' conduct, and matters pertaining to the purchase of uniform parts. It will also be an avenue to raise questions, to meet with officers, and also parents/guardians of other recruits. A separate email will be sent out soon after the first parade with regards to this briefing.

For the time being, should you have any queries, please do feel free to contact me either via the email.

SIncerely,

WO Daniel Chin

Officer in charge of recruit program 2017
