Dear All,
BB Malaysia Exco had issued a memo this afternoon regarding the Covid-19 situation.
Abiding with the Prime Minister of Malaysia’s instructions issued on 13th March 2020, The Boys’ Brigade in Malaysia will be taking further measures in addition to its own instructions in the memo circulated on 6th March 2020 to curb the spread of Covid-19.
Please note the following:
1) All official parades to be suspended until 30th April 2020.
2) The Brigade Council Meeting, originally scheduled on 24-26th April 2020, will be postponed until further notice.
3) The National Band Competition, originally scheduled on 25th April 2020, will be postponed until further notice.
4) For now, the National Pesta to be held in Melaka on 1st - 6th June 2020 will proceed as planned. 5) A final decision will be made public on 6th April 2020 whether to postpone the Pesta.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation in these difficult times. Please continue to pray together over the situation.

BB8PJ Precautions and Guidance on Novel Coronavirus 2019-nCoV
Dear Parents & Members,
The Novel Coronavirus 2019-nCoV which started in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China has since spread to a number of other countries. As of January 27, 2020, the World Health Organization updated its assessment of the global risk to “high”.
In the interest of everyone's health and safety, we are putting forth the following precautions and guidance for BB8PJ members:
1. Please stay at home if you or your family members/close contacts are having fever and symptoms of the influenza;
2. If you or your close contacts have recently traveled to mainland China, Hong Kong or Taiwan OR have had close contact with a person confirmed to have the Novel Coronavirus infection, you should:
• Self-quarantine for 14 days from the day you/they left mainland China, Hong Kong or Taiwan or had contact with an infected person;
• Refrain from attending any BB activities during this period; and
• Consult your physician if you develop any flu-like symptoms.
3. Please do take the necessary precautions and preventions to stay healthy, such as avoiding crowds, wearing masks, frequently washing hands, etc.
Please do not hesitate to contact the respective Section OICs if you have any queries or concerns.
